PracticeLedger privacy policy

Updated September 30, 2026. Developer: Technical Dost Solutions (Siddhant Sharma). Privacy contact: support@technicaldost.com.

Which version this covers

Version 1 is the original build prepared for release: it has no advertising SDK and does not transmit app records to us. Version 1.1.0 and later adds Google AdMob banner advertising and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). The advertising sections below apply to version 1.1.0 and later when advertising is enabled. This policy does not announce that either release is publicly available.

Your local records

The core tools work offline without registration. Information you enter and selected files are stored in private app storage on your device. We do not operate an account or cloud service for these records, and the app does not provide their contents to AdMob. Advertising needs an internet connection; an unavailable ad does not prevent use of the core tools.

Advertising data in version 1.1.0 and later

Google’s advertising services may receive your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, app and ad interactions, diagnostic and performance information, and device or other identifiers. These are used to deliver and measure advertising, analyze performance, and prevent fraud and abuse. Advertising is off by default until you select a local age group. On a new app launch, “Not specified” skips advertising SDK initialization and ad requests. “Under 16” uses Google’s child-protective ad treatment; “16 or older” uses teen-protective treatment, including for adults. Protective settings restrict personalization; device identifiers and other advertising data depend on the treatment applied. We do not add a separate analytics or crash-reporting service. Advertising data is sent using encrypted connections.

Google processes advertising information under its privacy policy and advertising information. Those pages explain Google’s handling, retention, processing locations and available controls. Data may be processed outside your country. Deleting a local app record does not delete information already processed by Google.

Privacy choices

Choosing “Not specified” in advertising preferences hides ads and stops new ad requests. If the SDK was already initialized, some diagnostic processing may continue until the app process restarts. The next app launch skips advertising SDK initialization while this choice remains selected. When you select an age group to enable ads, the app uses UMP to check the applicable advertising privacy requirements. Messages and choices depend on your region, the advertising configuration and age-restricted treatment; a consent form is not displayed to every user. An “Ad privacy choices” entry appears in the app when Google indicates that it is required. Where available, use it to review or change your choices. Android’s advertising privacy settings provide additional controls. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all advertising data processing.

Files, sharing and permissions

Import, export, backup and sharing use Android’s file or photo picker and share sheet. Only files you select are read. If you save or share an export, its contents go to the destination or recipient you choose, which may be a cloud service with its own policy. Exports can contain personal or customer information.

The app does not request broad storage, precise location, contacts, microphone or camera access. Version 1.1.0 uses network access for advertising and may include Google’s advertising-ID permission through the SDK. Android automatic app backup is disabled. Keep manual backups and exported files securely.

Deletion and retention

Local records remain until you delete them, clear app storage or uninstall. Exported copies require separate deletion from their destinations. Restore replaces saved records only after confirmation. There is no developer-held app account to delete. Contact us about privacy concerns; we cannot delete Google-held advertising data through the app’s local delete controls.

Store transactions, support and website

Google Play handles any store payment or transaction information under its own policies. We receive no payment credentials, and the app has no in-app billing SDK. Store availability and any price are shown by Google Play.

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to answer your request. Avoid unnecessary sensitive details. These pages are hosted by GitHub Pages, whose infrastructure may process routine request metadata under GitHub’s privacy policy. We do not add website analytics scripts. Opening an app’s website link also sends a normal browser request to the site.

Audience and updates

PracticeLedger is intended for people aged 13 and over; it is not directed to children under 13. The app does not request your date of birth. Your selected age group is stored locally; it is not a synced profile. The app sends the corresponding protective treatment flags to Google when you enable advertising. Changes to vendors, advertising settings or data handling will be reflected in the policy and app disclosures before release.
